The YCLB, which will soon host the World Championship, organized its Sport Keelboat Open, an event that brings together each year boats from four series (Soling, Dragon, Requin and Tofinou). It was also the venue for the 2019 Soling French National.

Thus, seven Soling of the three main French clubs (four from La Baule, two from Angers and one from Paris) competed for three days, in very varied wind and sea conditions.
It was an opportunity to concretely prepare the next meeting for both the sailors and the organizers.

All in all, it was the crew with Jean-Marie LE GUILLOU, in great shape, who took the National on FRA 198 by finishing first of almost all the seven regattas. The crews of Yves STEFF (FRA 182) and François GOMBEAUD (FRA 164) complete the podium.

This edition was enhanced by the presence and experience of Marc Bouet, our World and European Champion in 1990, who kindly offered his advice on the water and then on the ground to all crews; a much appreciated initiative!

The rendezvous, although it would have gladly supported a greater participation, was unanimously appreciated by the present crews, both for the rigor of the organization at sea and for the warm atmosphere on land.
