The youngest event of the Soling class takes shape, improving year by year. Despite a small location, the fresh and flat water, the facilities at the Cospudener lake makes the Sailors interact in a fantastic way. With the possibility to come with your own camper or to rent a small cabin right front of the harbor, which most of the sailors for this edition did it, and with an event organization committed to please the sailors offering a fantastic breakfast at the pressoway cafe , this Friday was the welcome and final launch of the boats which kept coming all over the day. We might expect light winds, but by this time of the season it was not of the case, the OA went straight into an AP flag due to strong winds and a forecast of 30-40 knots during the practice race time, the conditions did not slow down and also brought some rain to a point the racing was suspended for the day.

The practice race a long race could not be held, but the one did not count in the Trophy series, anyway sailors were looking forward for the Friday Barbecue & Gin Tonic - Long Horn planned by the local teams, which by the way are all under 25, engineering and specialists in their profession that have a team work in perfect sync, it makes this event looks like a two different generation gathering, to give an idea on Thursday for the fleet that did arrive, at night half of the fleet went to a scape room to have fun, while the old farts had to stay resting after all the driving.

About the racing, well while this article is being written the AP flew all day long and only this morning the first day racing the teams wakes up with a sunny day, windy but not so much as yesterday, now heading to the breakfast to then start at 1100 the first race, stay tuned for this evening report.
