This past last weekend the traditional Erich Hirt Preis took place at the Bayerische Yacht Club at the Northern side of Lake Starnberg right at the base of the Alps in the Bavarian region of Germay.
The winning team coming from Lake Eder a central region in Germany took its early lead on Friday with three bullets sailed in a light typical lake breeze from 5 to 11 knots from the west, a well-known wind in Starnberg.
On Saturday due to storm only one race was sailed and won by GER 323 helmed by Matthias Dulce and sailed by Kilian Schmidt and Maja Haupt, the local wind sniffer GER 308 helmed by Karl Haist sailing with Martin Zeileis and Irene Haist sharpened their senses and achieved a second place and in third came the young sensation from Munchen GER 2 helmed by Christian Mack sailing with Thomas Fabry and Korbinian Loebman, they didn't know but were consolidating their second place overall at the event after this day who ended after the storm with the traditional and original Nueremberger Bratwurst brought and sponsored by team 853 with cook specialists Andreas Baumueller and the young apprentice Valentin Mueller.
On Sunday four more races in which GER 311 helmed by Bjoern Geisler and sailed by Peter Behrendt and Mattis Blum achieved two more bullets and a third to leave early the race course without the need to race the last race.
The remaining bullets in the day went to GER 2 and another one to GER 323, with these GER 2 was securing their second place, and GER 308 had through consistency enough to tie down with GER 11 helmed by Michael Dietzel sailing with Hannes Ramoser and Anna Dietzel and win the tie by having an extra second place.

The next event in Germany will be early September at the Cospudener lake, for some on its way to the European Championship to be held in Norway.
Before that to complete the three races that compound the Alpen trophy the famous Zipfer Trophy at lake Attersee in which two teams are there to fight hard GER 11 and GER 2 this last who already secured two second places at these two initial events while GER 11 has a third and a fourth.
