Excellent conditions for the second day of the 2025 Soling World Championship. The day started with a postponement on land which gave many teams the opportunity to ask for the wonderful staff at the club for their lunch. The break didn't last long and by 1230 the IRO Odecio Adam called the fleet to the racecourse.

A clear start with a wind coming initially from 170 degrees but not more than 10 knots, saw boats in the left starting well but all, USA 853 (Collins, Celedoni and Siegel) who seem to have anchored and watched the fleet pass by from leeward, windward and behind like GER 1 (Koch, Hasenclever and Koch) which from the pin end climbed fast to cut the bow of ARG 42 (Warburg, Celedoni and Viola) who just had sent an oxygen mask to USA 853. But the left didn't pay and the local knowledge once more paid off! Going to the right, BRA 73 (Kadu Bergenthal, Vilnei Goldmeier and Edgar Oppitz) also escaped by going to the left quickly and then to the right like perfect stitching they rounded the first mark but then were passed by BRA 86 (Cicero Hartmann, Frederico Sidou and Regis Silva), who showed how 60 years of experience at the Guaiba River paid off. They were followed by the Canadian star CAN 225 (Peter Hall, Gustavo Ilha and William Hall).

The three lap course was long and hot. Therefore, after a little waiting, as the wind lightened and veered to the right and settled in at 190 degrees, the Race Committee announced the second race would be a 2-lap course.

Once more the local experience was a must to catch the gusts, the ups and downs BRA 86 smashed his fourth bullet followed again by team Carioba / Alumnasa BRA 73 and BRA 78 with class president Nelson Ilha, Manfredo Floricke and Leo Mayrhofer just to leave clear that Brazil won't let the WC trophy go away so easy at their venue.

Tonight the Veleiros do Sul will offer a gala dinner to the competitors and friends and also some club members as part of the social scheduled for the event.
