We all know that the next 2025 Worlds will be held in Brazil, teams at the location takes the event seriously and have been under intensive practice, the fleet actually scheduled their national event in a different date than they usually do it, that is over summer, but with the aim to have a level increase of training of all teams this was moved to be closer to the main event next November.

The Brazilian championship was held in the past weekend over three days under the same team that will conduct the Worlds racing, leaded by IRO Odecio Adam and using the same race course area “Pedra Redonda” and class standards.

At the first day on Friday it was fantastic where it blew hard with gusts over 20 knots from southeast , two races were accomplished this day with a clear overall leader BRA 78 with Nelson Ilha, Manfredo Floricke and Felipe Ilha which took a bullet on first race and a second on the following. They were followed close by two boats that both finished with 5 pts overall this day but only one got the remaining bullet. BRA 73 with Kadu Bergenthal, Vilnei Goldmeier and Edgar Oppitz who had a 4th and the bullet and BRA 86 the defending champion Cicero Hartmann, Federico Sidou and Regis Silva who had a 2nd and a third. The strong winds of the day caused that three boats missed one race, either by not finishing the one or just being unable to start one.

On Saturday the conditions were light with an average of 8 knots, the experienced IRO decided to run three races instead two scheduled knowing that on Sunday conditions would be much worse.

BRA 78 again was sharp and kept two bullets at the first two races and managed a third on the last race of the day. BRA 86 the known Don't let me down was consistent, but failed a start on the second race of the day taking home an OCS, but a second and a bullet on the last race. BRA 73 did not had the best day as well, since with a third on the first race, then a 4th on the second race and a 2nd on the last race kept them on third overall place average.

The final day as forecasted with light and fluffy winds and only one race scheduled had BRA 78 already champions and hoisting the boat to proper clean it and leave it ready for the next session. BRA 86 didn't wanted surprises and won the race over BRA 73 both completing the podium of the Brazilian Championship.

BRA 15 with Gustavo Ilha, Thiago Knippling and Gustavo Bohrer were the classic boat winners.
