After winning the German Championship at Leipzig, the team from the VSaW Donald Lippert, Tim Giesecke and Sven Kikwald marked their presence at the Italian Championship also the Alpen Cup. Their astonishing record taking all bullets home prepare them to face the traditional Erich Hirt Preis next week at Starnbergsee with just a target ahead, occupying the kingdom throne from Bavarian windsniffer Burschi Haist and team.

At Reschensee the final day at the Italian Championship had some similarities from Saturday, but as forecasted, a bit more wind intensity, the right always a bit favored, but on first beat on the first race GER 339 with authority came from somewhere in the left strong to achieve their bullet. The temperature was warmer but no rain despite the clouds.
Teams had enough strength after a nice Roastbeef served at the grill yesterday in an evening after the hail, and storm which cooled the mountais to offer the great wind of today.

The real fight at the championship was for the third place where many teams had their chance, since GER 11 with Dietzel, Zeileis and Ramoser already securing their second place, it was a tight run in between GER 2 Christian Mack, Thomas Fabry and Christopher Zeidler who had the worst outcome despite their great finishes for the last day with two thirds, not enough to break the tie with GER 331 Heino Schuckmann, Manuel Bergallo and Prof. Markus Stallhofer who lost by just a point the podium against the Slovenian/Italian team ITA 194 leaded by Bostjan Antoncic, Gennadi Strakh and Massimo Cattaneo sailing an old Abbott and proving boat age isn't an issue, but knowledge and team works makes a difference, their second place at the final race kept them afloat finishing third overall.

Italian ITA 252 Alberto de Amicis, Marco de Amicis and Marco Lombardo with their 7th place overall was the Italian leader claiming their Italian title, an event in Reschensee that keeps growing and at this time attracted 5 different countries .

The triple crown starts well for the German teams where two of them are running strong for the Alpen Trophy ( best finisher at three events in the Alps, Starnbergsee, Reschensee and Attersee).
