The heat wave was gone and clouds came into Kingston, with a nice East to Northeast wind that came 12 to 14 knots at the first race, the one went to left but it came back to the right, CAN 230 with Ross Findlater, John McNeil and Gord Devries all the way to the left took the best of the first beat rounding first to not lose the lead and take the first bullet of the event. CAN 1 Bill Abbott, Joanne Abbott and Matthews Godfrey finished second, the first time in a Soling for the young Matthews. Legend CAN 225 Peter Hall, Bruce Empey and Will Frankling Thorphe in third, accordingly to Joanne the fastest boat in the racecourse.

The wind kept increasing and for the second race CAN 1 found the groove and took their bullet for the day, followed by CAN 230 and again CAN 225, showing a total Canadian dominance in the class, this last race had a few over early starters, despite they all came back, one was short to clear the line by a few centimeters and scored OCS...bummer notice!

The fleet now will meet with the event shirts at the Tucan pub located at the Princess st. The idea – free beer or at least some discounts on it.

Tomorrow two more races are scheduled the forecast shows warmer temperatures but some rain.
