Past weekend of April 26th/27th, despite the absence of outsider boats from La Baule or CVP Paris, the 2025 Printemps Trophy was announced with nine Solings from Angers.
This past edition had a light wind from the North / Northeast, the river behavior was with a weak current, and the weather conditions were rather calm.

Resuming the format before the break for lunch, a first round of races were started at noon, where from the outside, the crew Jean François Denis / Vincent Manac'h / Stéphanie Benon (225) took the first place. After a friendly lunch in lands, the races were resumed around 2 p.m. for 4 races with 1 or 2 laps, depending on the strength of a wind, this happening at almost the axis of the Maine, it was a little complicated, and again our 225 confirms taking good control of their new boat recently acquired from Peter Hall. So at the end of the day, at the bar, in between some drinks, everyone redid their race, the following was the overall ranking for the day: 225 largely leading because with five bullets, and as follower we found FRA 201 (Pierre Montecot and Philippe Montecot), and FRA 199 (Thierry Fournier, Jerome Filmon), lets not forget the misfortunes of Daniel Kersimon and Mathieu Leman in doubt with spinnaker and pole halyards which escape, and the good performance of the François team (Martine and Patrice) back in the Soling series after 20 years of absence.

Sunday morning, everyone met for a friendly breakfast at the club at 8:30 before restarting the series of three races under the sun and 8 to 10 knots from Northeast to finalize this beautiful regatta. FRA 168 (Marc Lefevre and Edgard Lefevre,) with great results at the first two races and winning the final race, conceded by 225, who, well in the lead, took the liberty of not racing the one just to get to the bar early, jumped into the overall podium…

A good country buffet rounded off this very nice and friendly weekend of an Angevin Trophy that was always hotly contested. Celebrating the victory of Francois Denis, Manach and Benon, followed by team Montecot (Pierre and Philippe) and the Lefevre team (Marc and Edgard).

The next event for several French teams will be the European Championship to be held in Italy (Mandello del Lario) were they will contest the European title and also the Rien Segaar Trophy awarded always to the third team from a country that finish ahead of other countries.
