A summer day at the Viveiros dos Sul in Porto Alegre. The wind never filled in, and sailors waited at the terrace suffering the heat that reached close to the 40 degrees celcius.
With no races, Cicero Hartman, Frederico Sidou and Regis Silva sailing BRA 86 a Borresen from 1998 achieved their goal winning the South American Championship the seventh time for Cicero. Now he is missing a traveling tour to face racing in adversity.

The Argentineans ARG 2 Gustavo Warburg, Hernan Celedoni and Diego Weppler that started slowly, climbed hard on Saturday and therefore finished second overall with a lended boat from the organization (BRA 45, known as El Demolidor), the boat were borrowed from Soling lover Kadu Bergenthal, who sailing in his ICO BRA 73 together with Vilnei Goldmeier and Edgar Oppitz finished third overall.

The classic trophy was won by BRA 15 and Abbott from 1974 that sailed pretty well and leaded by Carlo De Leo, Thiago Knippling and Gustavo Bohrer.

The prize giving ceremony had a typical chorizo sausage on the bread and free beer celebrating the 90's of the Veleiros do Sul yacht club.

After the end of the event the typical goodbyes at this time was different, since class Secretary Matias Collins sailing USA 853 with Manfredo Floricke and Gonzalo Celedoni were ones to see their friend's departure and sat to wait for a long week ahead in Porto Alegre. Unfortunately, the team only could sail due to the diligence from Kadu Bergenthal and the generosity of class president Nelson Ilha that some hours before the first race set his boat ready with his crew to the team, since they burned the car only 4 hs away of the destination on its way to the club. They were towing their Soling that had to be stored in a city nearby, and the car received a towing to the nearest Subaru center for repair that will take a long time… Class office will move temporarily to POA at the Poseidon's micro urban winery.
