Two races were accomplished anyway, the first one a course 2 with a 1Nm distance in between the buoys sailed with a 8 to 10 knots of wind from Southwest , but that veered to the South.

The second race a course 3 with also 1Nm distance between the marks, only happened while after the first, as the experience of the RO – Odecio Adam, waited patiently for the East wind to fill in after an hour of melt down waiting. The race had winds with intensity from 10 to 13 knots and small oscillations, under a great blue sky and that when hiking the water was the cooling system for the sailors.

At the first race boats who stared and went to the left had a great lift on the first beat killing those in the right, but amazingly on the downwind a single boat ARG 2 Warburg, Celedoni, Weppler kept sailing to the right and got more pressure and despite rounding at the back of the fleet, then positioned amongst the top teams at the leeward rounding, managing to accomplish a third place, that kept them alive for the title, in second BRA 86 Hartmann, Sidou and Silva and in first BRA 73 Bergenthal, Goldneier and Oppitz.

At the first race USA 853 Collins, Floricke and Celedoni, lead the race at the first mark after their 5th great start in the series (never taking advantage of it…), the lead was close with the whole pack and at the second upwind they decided not to push their follower BRA 86 , but this one did push them out at the rounding mark causing a mark touch, which lead the leading team to spin around and basically lose the whole pack of boats, only one boat was kept behind, frustrating indeed for the crew, that kept fighting to at least recover a position..

BRA 86 did manage the race, and with this kept the overall lead of the event. They were followed by ARG 2 and then BRA 73, all three teams with winning chances at the event tomorrow where two more races are scheduled, and again light winds are expected.

At the night a class BBQ was organized fully flooded by beer.
