After 3 general recalls, the last one under black flag, finally the practice race could start in a steady breeze from the south with 12-14 knots, for sure with a few more boats already OCS. Nice rolling swell and perfect conditions for a Soling with two crews hiking hard, no sun but not cold.

The right side it seems to have paid off although the current had already started to flood in. NOR 131 with Nergaard/Barne/X showing their training and local knowledge and rounding the weather mark first and keeping his position the whole second lap, followed close by HUN 11 Farkas/Vezer/Wossala and HUN 1 Varjas/Kocasci/Meretei.

Many boats abandoned the race after the first lap, and the leaders did the same before finishing the race. Everyone is as ready with their tuning as they'll be and looking forward to the evening reception barbecue, sponsored by a local Soling sailor and the Soling Klubb Norway.

At the bbq, sailors enjoyed the burgers and various drinks, from the beer to even ron and coke(Cuba Libre).

Tomorrow the first racing day, races are scheduled for 1100hs, but a skippers meeting is schedule for 0830hs.
