14 teams from 5 different nations are competing at the event organized by the Yacht Club Veleiros do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

This special event that doesn't need sailors to transport their sailing equipment except their sailing clothes year by year get more interest. This edition has visitors from Canada, USA, France and Germany besides Brasil. 8 boats and sails are provided by the OA and owners of the ones have differential entry fee. Teams exchange boats for each race and some wait at the support boats, the races are two short lap windward / leeward with a typical class finish with a mini reach. The umpires are sailors from each competitor team designated to umpire when not racing.

After a long postponement the first day finally had two races in the afternoon, a few teams still have not made into the racecourse and a few had two opportunities racing.

So far two teams had great performance this Friday afternoon, team E1 (BRA 128 ) leaded by Dennis Koch and E5 (CAN 225) by Peter Hall, both ended two races with 4 points, team E1 (BRA 15) leaded by Carlos de Leo and E10 (BRA 28) by Carlos Silva also finished with 4 points, but only have raced one race.

Four teams are missing to race, including the French team E13, E14 (BRA 78), E11 (BRA 68), E12 (BRA 13). The first two races of this Saturday will see their debut and in addition three more other races in addition are necessary to finish the first round-robin.

The first-round robin continues this Saturday and if possible, a second round robin will be attempted before the finals amongst the 8 best teams.
