Brazilians lead the 2023 Worlds in Milwaukee

Today despite the clouds and light rain, sailors after their club breakfast and then the traditional skippers meeting conducted by the RO Russ Sobota, at 1200hs the first warning signal finally happened, the fleets ended split in two, some choosing the right side and others the left in a lumpy wind from Southwest from 5 to 10 knots of wind.

The second race a better one with a more constant wind a bit more from the right and with 8 to 13 knots of wind , found GER 1 Kwindoo team with Roman Koch, Alex Hasenclever and Joe Brase winning the bullet followed at this time by BRA 78 and then BRA 73, the race saw how after first lap, after the rounding mark USA 853 which rounded around 6 did a nice loop back to lift is middle miss America who decided to take a cold bath in the lake after the quick release shackle was too quick…And despite rounding almost last the windward mark some gains were possible later on at least to finish closer to the fleet.
