This past weekend the South Brazilian Championship organized by the Veleiros do Sul crowned the return of Dodao(George Nehm) sailing together with the experimented crew from BRA 128 Alexandre Muller and Eduardo Carneiro who often sails with Dennis Koch, this time absent while traveling with his son into the Optimist qualyfiers…
From 5 races held, three on Saturday with light winds from Southeast reaching at the best times 15 knots and two races on Sunday now with better conditions reaching the 20knots according to Dudu, they managed 4 of them either finish first or second, showing an impressive record.
Only on race 4th a fifth place ruined the record, but even then it was middle fleet and their discard.

They were followed by team Don't let me down BRA 86 with Cicero Hartmann, Vilnei Goldmeier and Andre Renard who were always on top three at the races, finishing after the discard only one point behind the winners.

To finish at the podium, it was team ICO, former Demolidor BRA 73 with Kadu Bergenthal, Eduardo Cavalli and Edgard Opptiz, they got the last bullet of the event and also only had top three finishes… remarkable all three teams only one point difference of each other.

It was great weekend training for the Brazilian teams facing the next competition at Punta Del Este (URU) for the South American Championship, an impressive fleet that works to keep their class dominance at the continental level.
