Despite the awful weather, the last day of the Zipfer Trophy, organized by the UYCAs had its possibility to achieve two races in light air from the South. Luckly by the time racing no rain.

Karl, Martin, and Irene leaded all the way at the first beat and downwind of the day but AUT 100 the talented team from Traunsee with Christian Spiessberger, Max Reisinger and Gerhard Schlipfinger managed to overtake and win the race. In third came AUT 7 team Steinbach with Florian Felzmann, Stephan Beurle and Michael Felzmann.

At the second race the wind ended going down substantially from the initial 5 to 6 knots and the race committee shorted the finish at the second upwind. The Canadian team CAN 225 with Peter Hall Peter Farbowski and Gord Devries obtained their bullet and closely followed by GER 11 with Michael Dietzel, Vera Geck and Anna Dietzel, in third the windsniffer GER 308.

The Zipfer conclude under indoors, protecting from the rain, where most boats were kept at their moorings, and tomorrow will be towed to the SCK to attend the Steinbach Europeans the upcoming event at the lake.

At the prize giving ceremony, special applause to the Ukranian team and their efforts to attend the event, the only team so sail even the days without wind, and also under the rain. Also a recognition applause to Ludwig Beurle the organization heart of the event and also the Beer company Zipfer which makes this event unique at the lake, a closing date for the summer in Attersee.
