While most of the teams had their equipment inspection done for the Zipfer Trophy and the 2022 Steinbach Soling Europeans, those who finished earlier went out for a nice practice sail, with hiking included.

Ludwig Beurle, the master mind behind the Zipfer conducted the opening ceremonies in front of the Zipfer bar, Flammkuchen was served with the beer and after the gun (big one), Gert Schmidletner rised the AP flag.

The first day of racing at the Zipfer, put the youngs at the table playing cards or Voleyball and some gossiping for sure.. The old farts gathered around the Zipfer bar and the beer ran as fast as possible while the lake was a nice mirror, some Solings went out and stand nicely waiting for being painted in a new art release.

Around 1830 with the Zipfer bar closed, the sailors showered , but some only at the lake off course, they gathered at the Attersee train station, for a small train trip to where the event organization waited for them with white Austrian wine cocktail, a toast made, and then a nice dinner with music and prizes for all participants. Off course the youngs then on Taxis went to Axel bar to continue the night, the rest to the bed exhausted of busy day at the UYCAs.

This morning Leberkase is being served as breakfast by the club and some west wind is happening which gives some hope to the organization for at least one or two races in light and shifty winds, we cross our fingers. While weather is building good with big expectations for next week main event.
