Margund sailing with Florian and Michael at Attersee - Zipfer Trophy 2015
Today I received the very sad news that our dear friend and Soling sailor Margund Schuh passed away yesterday. Margund had been a passionate and successful sailor since her youth, both as a helmswoman and as a crew member.
In the Soling she was Austrian National Champion four times and European Vice-Champion in 2017.
On land she was particularly fond of the cosy and social life and she has cultivated many friendships in the Soling community far beyond the borders of Austria. She was full of joie de vivre and heart-refreshing charm, which she has kept until the end.
We wish you good wind for all time and will not forget you!
Dear Eva, dear Harald, dear family Schuh, we think of you and express our deepest sympathy.

Wow. My condolences to her family. Way to young and many Soling races and stories to be told. We will miss her and her smile, especially as Florian would pass us! Margund was an excellent example to younger women. Over the last 5 years, we competed close to her and admired her determination . May she Rest In Peace sailing in Valhalla. Regards, Peter Hall

It was always a great welcome, asap I stepped at Attersee (Austria), the one Austrian speaking Spanish, we could just joke about everyone...
Now she sails to Valhalla where we all well meet for a great party in the future.
I first met Margund in 2001, I guess I was the first one to hear the claim that the trailer front wheel was broken after her boat was sent to sail the 2001 Worlds.
And after that meanwhile Scheini prepared the boat we went on a raid to find accommodation for both around San Isidro, they ended up sleeping on mattresses over the floor in an apartment that was just released for rent again... Since then I had a new friend at the lake..
I will miss her .
Many hugs to the whole family !
