Dear Soling sailors and friends
We are all aware of the current circumstances worldwide, each country is taking its actions and individuals by themselves as well. Most of these actions in practice deny travelling and social gathering, therefore at least until end of May if not even more, the Soling racing might be cancelled or delayed.
The office will try to keep updated the racing calendar, so keep an eye on it. Periodically we also send out mails to the NSA representatives and the ISA committee, please in case of doubt do not hesitate in contacting the office.
We hope the love for sailing the Soling keep you eager waiting the green go to a regatta, it will be a blast after all this time under contention. As your secretary and living in the southern hemisphere: my light change probably will occur after many, just hope not more than 4min after the start, otherwise I will miss even more than sailing, but also not seeing my friends and adversaries over the year.
Regarding the ISA affairs, as a sailor don't forget to join/renew your membership for 2020 contacting your National Soling Association representative and / or the ISA directly. The NSA representatives please, do not forget advising the office of event cancellations/postponements and results if something is raced. Note we rely on local fleets, at some places they might still race each other.
Our annual Meetings were scheduled for September, this might also be delayed.
I wish patience, confidence and strength in all your decisions to stay safe, the Soling class needs you racing to make life, after this Pandemic situation and a possible huge recession worldwide, much more fun.
