After three hours waiting with no wind but a fabulous weather, like Swiss precision the North wind forecasted for 1430 came in with 25 to 28 knots, the Race Committee had a hell of the job to set the marks in the 300 mts deep lake. The Solings while waiting started to brake things, and many couldn't start.

It was a match race event with sailing instructions in Italian team USA had no idea they were already winners since there was time for just a race and it included a discard. Learn Italian now is a must for class Secretary.

Since the start USA 853 controlled ITA 252 sailing higher and faster, keeping themselves in between the opponent and the mark, the same to the downwind, the second bead the distance gained was shortened by ITA 252 while knowing the place and that the wind will die make it to the extreme right, USA 853, making the shorter leg but with less wind saw ITA 252 come a bit closer but the 300 meters difference was too much to jeopardy the international team.

The last downwind the wind started to die and suddenly it was a light wind downwind, ITA 252 couldn't take advantage of the local knowledge and with this way USA 853 with Matias Collins, Michele Campagnoni and Federico Campagnoni took another bullet to win the first Bellano Soling Cup. Team ITA 252 with Alberto de Amicis, Marco de Amicis and Andrea Negri finished in second ahead the team from Torbole ITA 241 Fabio Armellini, Atilia Papinni and Nicola Armellini.

After the race, a nice pasta party was held during the prize giving ceremony.
