PERSONAL EQUIPMENT
b) Optional
The following personal equipment may be carried on board when racing in the cockpit above
the cockpit sole:
1) Each person on board may use a self-contained wearable. Also, these wearables may be
connected (using, but not limited, to wire, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth) to any other personal
portable equipment but not external equipment.
2) Each crew may carry onboard its self-contained mobile phone. Also, these mobile
devices may be connected (using, but not limited, to wire, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth) to any
other personal wearable equipment but not external equipment.
PORTABLE EQUIPMENT
b) Optional
The following equipment may be carried on board when racing in the cockpit above the cockpit sole:
1) One self-contained device. This device may have no more than Compass, GPS, and Timer
functionality. Also, this device shall not be connected (using, but not limited, to wire, Wi-Fi, or
Bluetooth) to any other personal, portable, or external equipment nor to external power sources.
2) One self-contained held-hand VHF device. this VHF device shall not be connected (using, but
not limited, to wire, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth) to any other personal, portable, or external equipment nor
to external power sources. This VHF device shall only be used to listen to the designated RC
channel and safety purposes. This RC channel shall not be used for announcing boats that are
OCS. Neither this device can be mandatory requested by an event OA thru the NoR or the SIs
