1.1 This regatta is organized under the authority of Severn Sailing Association and the Chesapeake Soling Fleet.
1.2 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined by Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.3 The regatta will be competed in accordance with the Severn Sailing Association Sailing Instructions available at severnsailing.org (Racing/SSA 2021 NOR/SIs) which will be amended to define the number/dates of races, format of races, number of races required to allow throw-outs and number of races required to establish a regatta.
1.4 The regatta is open to all yachts of the International Soling Class. This amends SI 4.1
1.5 All competitors must present proof of vaccination for SARS CoV-2 virus, or a negative test result for COVID-19 antibodies dated no earlier than 72 hours before arriving at SSA. Photograph or pdf files of proof of vaccination or negative test result documents can be sent attached to email or text messages to Joe Van Gieson (410 353-9464, joevangieson@earthlink.net)
1.6 Registration for this event can be accomplished at severnsailing.org (Racing/Upcoming SSA Races). The Entry Fee is $185 US, payable at the regatta prior to the Skippers Meeting. A fee of $55 US for non-members shall be required during registration.
1.7 Social activities include oysters/snacks/drinks on October 29, and snacks and drinks on October 30 after racing.
2.1 Schedule: this amends SSA SIs 7.1, and 7.2.

1 – results will not be scored in regatta standings
2.2 No races shall be started after 1400 on October 31. This amends SSA SI 7.3.
2.3 Races may be added to the schedule on 10/30 in order to achieve a valid regatta.
3.1 Completion of four races shall establish a valid event for which trophies will be awarded.
3.2 If five races are completed, competitors' scores shall be the total of their scores minus the score of their lowest finish.
