Dear Soling Sailors,


On behalf of my fellow Flag Officers, members and the staff of the Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club, it is my distinct pleasure to welcome the 2018 North American Soling Championships Regatta to the City of Montreal. Our Club has hosted a number of Soling regattas in the past, most recently the Canadian Championships last year. Many of you will know that the city hosted the 1976 Olympics and that our Club boasts a number of Olympians and international sailors among its ranks.

Montreal is one of the oldest cities in North America. It is often referred to as Canada’s Cultural Centre. It is also renowned for the variety and excellence of its cuisine and its world class restaurants. The Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club is the gateway to Montreal’s playground on Lac St-Louis, just 5 minutes away from the Trudeau Airport and 15 minutes from the City.
Come, have fun and enjoy our hospitality.

I look forward to watching this event, with our Fall's steady breezes, for the intense competition and the strong international spirit that makes our sport so unique.
