CAN 1 Abbott, Abbott and McNeil leads after two races

The Soling North American championship finally had two races this Friday, a day which started promising with a 15 knot wind, and went decreasing before the start, to suddenly die just after all boats finished the first race using a shortened class standard course. GER 1 with Roman Koch, Martin Zeileis and Michael Dietzel kicked at the front choosing to go left and finding pressure at that side. CAN 1 with Bill Abbott, Joanne Abbott and John McNeil in great shape finished second just behind and USA 834 with Paul McGuan, Ashley Henderson and Mark Keast had a great race finishing third just ahead USA 845 Dave Baum, Cate Muller and Brian Lennie.

The fleet waiting for an hour and then the Race Committee decided to two everyone inside a different club to seat in the shadow, drink and eat and wait, thanks to Yacht Club Point Claire, After some hours waiting the Race Committee decided to move the sailors and a little breeze came in from Southwest , it was enough to start another short race in a real flat water, CAN 1 ended up winning the race followed by CAN 231 with Mafred Kanter, Anne Marie Villain and Gord Devries in third and another good race USA 845.

Today the social program is free after the class had a nice Dinner offered by the club yesterday.
Tomorrow there will be again an attempt to race 4 races or at least two to consolidate the event.
