Fourth racing day started slow, 2 to 3 knots not fully covering the lake, sailors were waiting at the harbor, after 3hs and a half finally AP was down with a 5 to 8 knots of wind from Southwest, all the waiting time was not so bad thinking on all the sailors who spent a late evening the day before at the Vitorlas Restaurant enjoying the Jammer Borbirtok wines and the famous Hungarian cuisine.
During the waiting it was time for the Race Office too work hard publishing the craning out proceedings and schedule for tomorrow Saturday last day of the championship, since it is a small club things have to be planned so it becomes less chaotic that for sure it will be no matter the attempt to minimize it.
The first race with some oscillations and a wind increase crowned a new race winner, the former 2003 World Champion and Olympian UKR1 helmed by Sergey Pichuguin sailing with beauty Liubov Chunikhovska and his long life team mate Sergey Ivansits, with the victory the increased the lead over HUN 771 helmed by Annamaria Sabjan sailing with Andras Bajusz and Krauth Balazs for the Tony Clare trophy awarded to the best woman competing at the event, the Ukranian team was immediate followed by former class president BRA 78 helmed by Nelson Ilha sailing with Manfredo Floricke and Felipe Ilha and with the result still keep the fight for the Gran Masters Trophy against the UKR 1. At this race, local team HUN 1 helmed by Sandor Varjas sailing with Laszlo Kovasci and Gabor Meretei made another step into the podium by achieving the third place in the race.
After the 7th race of the event the overall resuls saw a small cut in point from team Process Solutions HUN 11 helmed by Litkey Farkas sailing with Karoly Vezer and Christoph Wossala over the team from YCBG GER 339 helmed by Donald Lippert sailing with Tim Giesecke and Sven Rikwald turning the gap to 6 points and three more races still scheduled, one today.
The eighth race of the series started also with similar conditions with some rain and an increasing wind to become strong that reached gusts of 25knots for a short period of time, at Lake Balaton another front coming into the lake, a typical breeze well known by locals turning in a nice and fresh sailing, and they took advantage of it, Team Process Solutions HUN 11 wins the race to narrow down by just a point from overall leader GER 339, and in second came team Carioba BRA 73 helmed by Kadu Bergenthal sailing with Vilnei Goldmeier and Edgar Oppitz just ahead local team HUN 1 keeping the battle for third place also real close just three points and two more races, but here AUT 7 helned by Florian Felzmann sailing with Stephan Beurle and Michael Felzmann ins't far as only a 6 points difference with the third.
UKR 1 with a 5th place kept his battle against HUN 771 and BRA 78 under control increasing the gap in between them, confident to bring back to Ukraine their special trophies.
Today's races prize giving to be done at 17:15 in front of the LED wall, Tomorrow two more races scheduled for 10:00 and a tight program for the craning out and prize giving ceremony.
