The Balatonfured Yacht Club, 2026 Soling World Championship organizer didn't expect the rush of Sailors arriving earlier to the event. Saturday was scheduled by them to be a day to prepare everything for a deep inspection to be made into approximately half of the fleet that will be seeking to obtain not only the approval to compete at the event, but also the ByPass ticket that will exonerate them of deep inspections for a 5 year period. The other half of the fleet will be using their ByPass right to just show safety, the spars stickers in conjuction with the correct hull and the sails to proceed to the racecourse without much hassle.
The anxiety of the sailors where big enough, but the Technical team, an international one was up to the task, with their plan to test the proceedings with just a boat today, it ended up in full inspection to 5 boats, sails cloth issues, wrong dimensions, and more, a full training to the team headed by class IM Laszlo Hegymegi, seconded by IM Bence Toronyi, NM G. Staudinger(AUT) and L. Szereemley Offshore measurer, and the help of the following volunteers building their experience on the task: Harald Hilde (NOR), A. Toronyi, P. Koncz, P. Csepregi.
Once more the inspection of the boats are being held in an area approximately 2km away from the Yacht Club, where boats are launched to the water and then sail to YC to be moored, a big challenge to outsiders, but a high level of inspection that achieve the minimum requirements to proper issue ByPass stickers to the boats that are in need to obtain one, a good moment to perform yours to renew it as well.
