With sadness we inform that Carl Auteried passed away this Wednesday July 23 at Mondsee in his 'newest' beloved area where the water was warmer and the winter was softer.
Carl was the one behind the scenes in the SCK, he started to organize Soling European Championships at Lake Attersee since 2001 and then opened the doors for the next ones in 2011 & 2022 , all successful events that brought the attention from the local comunity helping SCK to develop their infra structure.
Carl not only is one of the founding members of the SCK a club that was idealized in his father's mind, but he also was an intense part of the OESV and other sports organizations in Austria helping to promote the sailing sport on the waters of the country where Ski was always the main sport and just a few lakes at the Alps and one close to the capital (Wien) could offer sailing at the summer.
Carl's family, wife, daughter and son and grandchildren like most of the SCK members and many Soling sailors who fierce faced Carl in competitive Soling events up to 2011 will deeply miss his presence. But for sure he will be now sailing fast through a paradise Attersee lake in perfect rosen winds.
