After racing only one race this Sunday, with a solid bullet to consolidate at the top of the overall results the Bavarian team hoisted the traditional Bellano Cup by winning the Italian Championship over ITA 259 sailed by the Maffezzoli brothers coming from lake Garda, and despite their OCS in this last race, they manage to be the Italian Champions for 2023 extending their reign in Italy.

The surprise came with wonder Marta at ITA 119 sailing with her family Marco and Francesco Garrone achieving their third place at the event and silver medal as Italians after finishing third in today's race, and being the best women at the event that counted with 5 ladies in 4 different boats, eyedrops refreshment for the rest of the sailors.
Despite a great result today finishing second ITA 238 with Giovanni di Vincenzo, Francesco Ficola and Marco Ferrera the local youngs of Circolo Vela Bellano, it was not enough to reach the local veteran ITA 252 sailed by Alberto de Amicis, Marco de Amicis and Luca Negri who kept their bronze medal and fourth place overall at the event.

Another surprise was team ITA 212 with Marco Colombo (the helmet guy) sailing with ladies Gabriela and Giorgia Cantoni won the tie in 38pts over the Austrian team AUT 86 sailed by Ekkehart Steinhuber, Katharina Steinhuber and Philipp Weiss due to their last finish a 4th place.

The event only missed Soling representatives from Tuscany, since all Italian lakes were fully represented. Next year the Italian Championship will be once more organized at Lake Como around May 17-18, this because Lake Resia will still have water level issues due to new infrastructure being built around it.
