Dear Soling Sailors,
The Canadian Soling Association and the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club are pleased to invite you to the Soling North American Championship from June 8-11, 2023. The club is situated in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada at the west end of Lake Ontario on the shore of Hamilton Harbour.
Racing will take place inside the harbour, a short distance from the club. Wind conditions are typically light to medium at this time of year and waves are minimal. It is a nice manageable venue for new and experienced teams alike.
Royal Hamilton has experience hosting many events including regional, national, continental and world championships. Solings have raced in Hamilton often, from the early days when Solings were a thriving new Olympic class, to more recent times before Covid slowed us down. The club enjoys promoting the sport of sailing and is looking forward to welcoming everyone.
The yacht club has ample free parking, a large launch area, bar, restaurant, showers, pool and more. There are shops, restaurants, pubs and many more things to see and do in Hamilton within walking distance or a short drive from the yacht club.
