The 2022 we are about to close has been highlighted by three major milestones for the Soling class in Spain:
- The kick off of the youth program with 2 Soling boats between the Naval University School of Madrid and the Real Club Nautico de Madrid, which has attracted youth sailors to the sailing atmosphere both nationally and internationally
- All the 16 Soling boats present at the club have actively competed throughout the year
- The first edition of the Soling Open Training Day was a huge success with the special teaching sessions from an expert in the Soling class like Juan Pablo de Diego, held in September with a great theoretical and practical time spent on tactical and tuning good practises

A year in which as usual we have managed to race a great number of regattas, proof of it is the final Gold Cup ranking, which also includes the great Spanish Cup trophy (which counted with Peter Hall's presence plus in memoriam of Adrian Dupuy our former club president), and also the regional championships.

This year the Gold Cup goes to Ron-Dam, followed closely by Alcaufar and Sanbo. This year long ranking promotes participation and regularity.
We are proud of having such an active and top quality skippers and crews taking part of it, fighting every race to win.
Hurray Ron-Dam!

For 2023 we are almost done with a sailing calendar full of Soling club racing activities in order to continue attracting youth and more crews interested in joining us, as well as respecting the ISA organized continental and world championship windows.
