A great sailing day, sun, windy much more stable than yesterday, two more races completed by the race committee at Attersee lake.

The first race with clear start , most boats in first line, speed was a key, those in the middle field tacked to right, while those on the right went realy early to the right, due to speed the first pack of Solings heading to the right side saw USA 853 with Collins, Baumueller and Mueller decide to tack earlier to avoid the boat grouping, it was the perfect timing, the other boats kept going right, and the wind further you advanced on the race course went slightly to the right, lifting up USA 853 that suddenly were in the lay line in a perfect 15 knot wind, trimming and releasing the backstay, just going for speed, the closest boat GER 311 Geisler, Geisler and Behrendt also came early to the left, the rounding was smooth , GER 11 with Dietzel, Geck and Dietzel around third, the dowing was a constant take and give, GER 311 extending to the left managed to pass USA 853, GER 11 chose the right mark while the two first went to the left. The upwind was a constant tacking on the shifts, wind was shifting 10-15 degrees and going up and down from 12 to 16 knots. At this point HUN 1 Varjas, Kovasci and Meretei together with GER 1 Koch, Neun and Kling made huge gains at the center menacing the three leading the pack, the dowing had USA 853 and GER 311 chosing the left gate mark, a great rounding for USA 853 with speed and pointing high kept them in phase, also they had a + in speed specially when wind picked up, on first down they went left and played the shifts to regain the lead at the rounding mark by 7 boat lengths, which they never lost again with GER 311 and GER 11.

The second race of the day the wind changed and those chosing the left side also had their changes, but the right always proved to be better, HUN 1 took the lead earlier and AUT 100 with Spießberger, Raisinger and Schlipfinger sailing a great race finishing second, the Steinbach team AUT 7 with Felzmann, Beurle and Felzmann did a great job coming into third and consolidating a two point lead over HUN 1 for the 2022 Steinbach Soling European Championship and another two points over AUT 100 a tuff battle for the last race on the last day of event in which forecast doesn't look as promising as today.

Sailors were received by the organization with the traditional Zipfer beer, and a grill of sausages as after race, the late evening is free, tension is in the air tonight three teams will have to handle their nerves.

Tomorrow the start is scheduled for 1100hs, do not forget to collect your trac trac device. Those willing to follow the tracking of the races may do it at https://tractrac.com/event-page/event_20220827_SolingEuro/2295
