The Spanish fleet is facing the end of the season, missing only one next weekend of races, it had this last weekend another close racing at Madrid Gold cup series held since February. Too many teams fighting for the victory are left for the last weekend that will conclude on November 20 at the Trofeo Capitan.

Saturday November 6th started with a fabulous wind forecast, 18 knots sustained and some gusts over the 25.

The biggest news of the weekend was that for just a day the famous Danish Ib Andersen took over the helm at Sanbo (ESP 146), world champion in the Soling class in 1973 and a master in sailing in all aspects, and he shown the style and knowledge, winning two races together with Carlos Elosegui and Juanra Jamirez.

The races were tight and the fight in-between ESP 146, Brujo Chico sailed by Peralta, Martin and Prado and ESP 34 with Allende, Parodi and Peuvrel.

After the last weekend of the gold cup, there will be not only the prize giving but also some gifts to withdraw amongst the participants, in general a fleet fo 12 boats that constantly gather for the weekend races in Madrid.
