Held over the past four day at Porto Alegre, had once more the traditional Veleiros do Sul Yacht club hosting the event.

The one started on Thursday with a typical South Breeze , at some point strong, it had the club Commodore Cicero Hartmann his middle Ricardo Titoff and bow Andre Renard sailing Don't let me down BRA 86 winning the first bullet followed by team Bossa Nova BRA 73 supported by Tramontina with George Nehm, Marcos Pinto Ribeiro and Alexandre Mueller and in third BRA 78 with Nelson Ilha, Manfredo Floricke and Felipe Ilha.

The racing was tuff with gusts of 20 knots making some waves and nice rides at the Guaiba River at the “Pedra Redonda” race course.

The second race of the day it was time for tean Bossa Nova BRA 73 to take the bullet followed by BRA 78 and in third team El Demolidor BRA 45 with Kadu Bergenthal, Vilnei Goldmeier and Andre Renard.

The keynote of the day, BRA 15 with Carlo de Leo, Gustavo Cestari and Caetano dos Anjos, sailing like any continental event of the class touched a mark with the sails, but nothing was written at the Sailing Instructions or Notice Of Race, therefore the classic RRS 31 alteration of the class doesn't run for the event and they were Disqualified. Unfortunately, the class can't include this change in the class rules to make it mandatory, reason is only seen at the bigger events and those that try the most to follow the class guidelines.

The race continued on Friday with two more races with similar winds, but the last one the wind rotated to the East making a course change. BRA 86 didn't let down the singer, and got two bullets, followed in both races by team Bossa Nova BRA 73 and in third at the first race BRA 78 and in the second race of the day BRA 28 team Coringa (Joker) with Lucas Ostergreen, Carlos Trein and Roger Lamb.

When Saturday ended, only 5 points were the difference from first to fourth at the championship after two more races held in changing conditions from South to East from 10 to 14 knots and two different winners at each one at the first of the day BRA 28 team Coringa(Joker) and at the second BRA 78 team Equilibrium .

Sunday started early to the sailors, where the Brazilian Soling Association held its annual meeting choosing Gustavo Geyer as new fleet captain, the races scheduled for 1100 kept sailors waiting inshore and at 1500hs the Races of the day were cancelled due to the lack of wind, BRA 86 Don't let me down with Cicero, Frederico and Renard were crowned as Brazilian Champions.

And from now the Brazilian fleet will prepare the boats to the next Friendship Cup in League format expecting visitors from abroad who only need to travel with their sailing clothes to the event being held April 2 to 5.
