The Real Club Náutico de Madrid hosted and starred in the 2026 Copa de España de Soling - VI Memorial Adrián Dupuy, held from 12 to 14 June on the Pantano de San Juan reservoir. The team ESP 146 helmed by Carlos El¾segui sailing with Juanra Jiménez and Cuco G¾mez claimed overall victory in a fleet of 12 crews from Spain and Italy, further cementing the RCNM's position as the leading Soling club in the country.
Six races were completed across the first two days of competition, with one discard applied to the final standings, delivering closely fought racing and impressive parity throughout the fleet. The third and final day was called off due to insufficient wind, with the fleet unable to complete a valid start, leaving the results as they stood.
Consistency proved decisive for ESP 146. Second place also went to an RCNM team, ESP 247 helmed by Julio Soria sailing with Manuel Allo and Vicente Morera, making it a strong collective result for the club. The podium was completed by ESP 14 helmed by Luis Borrero of the Real Club Marítimo y Tenis de Punta Umbría, sailing alongside Alfonso Col¾n de Carvajal and José Ángel Martín.
One of the most memorable moments of the regatta came when the RCNM Soling Fleet paid tribute to Kiko Villa, a long-standing figure in the class, who has decided to step back from active competition after years of outstanding dedication. A well-deserved recognition for a sailor who has left a lasting mark on the fleet.
