Despite de COVID 19 today the Spanish fleet had a virtual meeting and invited the Argentine fleet to join with a total of 35 participants about 20 from the Iberic peninsula, including special guests such as former World champions Luis Doreste (ESP) and Gustavo Warburg(ARG).

The meeting promoted by the Spanish Soling Association under control of Carlos Elosegui and Tomas Peuvrel had the intention to start shaking the sailors before their water activities become real again. Starting this Monday, the country will open the borders for tourists and allow the outdoor activities and the sailing fleet start with their first event in June 27 & 28 with the great notice that water level in the swamp is good and rising.

Gustavo Warburg exposed some trimming considerations, boat preparation before events, many anecdotes were told regarding the trips made in the 90`s. He shared his experiences with a Spanish crew at the pasts successful Worlds in La Baule (FRA) during 2019. And Luis explained his journey to Savannah (1996) and the World Championship won earlier.

The Swamp Fleet is already planning for their European Championship in 2021 at Santander as location, talked a lot about trailer and the options to travel abroad to keep improving level and experiences to help for the future organization.

The Soling community is looking forward to see development of sailing next June and calendar already set for the Spanish cup during weekend of October 10.
