It was another perfect sailing day at the Wolfgangsee, the sun finally came into the scene, a Brundwind tentative showed up for the first race a windward leeward course, but then the wind started to decrease, this first race was won by Austrian sailors AUT 117 Auteried, Kendler and Moser followed by Vodafone team GER 318 with Shuckmann, Meissner and Stalhoffer in a great performance, both teams splitting from the fleet a nice distance. Third to come in was team Marinepool- Ramada HUN 77 with George Wossala, Vezer Karoly and Peter Nemeth, and this was enough to grant their Master`s title.
Racing was not over since this result kept in the run a three possible winners for the Austrian Championships AUT 117, HUN 77 and GER 300.
The second race of the day had much lighter winds, it was a difficult race while most boats where sailing in a pack, GER 300 lost the chance being OCS, GER 311 with crew Daniel Diesing replacing Winfried injured in the day before took the lead, and team Marinepool-Ramada HUN 77 slowly advancing into the edge fleet. Daniel without knowing showed why crew members count big in the the Soling, probably the last boat which in the podium considers the crew as a full part of a team wining and loosing, Daniel who was crewing but took the stick for the last races and showed a great performance as well, off course Masters` event was dropped as age criteria was an issue.
The bullet in the last race granted GER 311 a nice overall result at 7th and since AUT 117 was fighting in the middle with a great recovery in the last beat nearly without no wind couldn’t manage to still the Open Championship trophy team Marinepool-Ramada HUN 77.
AUT 117 anyway once more granted their leadership in the Austrian Championship final standings, winning again the event, the new Osterreich Meisters AUT 117 Carl Auteried, Martin Kendler and Udo Moser.
Despite the OCS team Marinepool GER 300 Roman Koch, Maxl Koch and Valentin Koch kept with confort the third place.
Next Masters` bid is being made by Starnbergsee together witht eh Hirt Preis, two to three weeks after the Europeans 2010 in La Trinite
