The Royal yacht club KNZ&RV welcomes the early 22 boats that already arrived under the showers, and cold weather. 35 entries from 13 different countries and three continents will be racing at the Markermeer in nowadays fresh water, since 1932 when the damm was built up north against the sea.
The measurement will start on Saturday at 0930 am and will continue on Sunday until late evening.
Three boats were already practicing today, FIN 46, HUN 77 and CAN 225 serious contenders for the title, while several other boats start to prepare their boats in between the showers, like USA 824 fixing the keel and a hole in the hull found behind a nice sticker by sail22 , BRA 45 is ready but they are still waiting for their luggage, and including with it the brand new sails.

Only three countries NOR, SWE and AUT are showing up with only one team, other countries have two or more contenders.
During Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 the ISA will hold its annual meeting after the races.
