Big fight at the 2017 Soling Spring Trophy organized by Club Velico Castiglione della Pescaia.
Seven races has been sailed in southern winds from 7 to 14 knots, sun and warm temperatures.
Gyorgy Wossala, Christoph Wossala and Pepe Nemeth won the event after a thrilling last days where they won two races, managing to recover a two points gap from a super-fast Fabio Armellini´s ITA 241. The veteran italian, sailing with Attilia Papini and the young local Thomas Vannini, ended in second place after a 2-2 in the last day. Third place was achieved by locals Domenico Carducci, Leo Saletti and Nicola Giovacchini. Fourth place for visiting Spaniards Kiko Villa and Manuel Allo (from the Madrid fleet) sailing with Gianni Tognozzi.
The event was part of the Italian preparation to contest next July the European Championship to be held at lake Garda (Fraglia Riva), where a big fleet is already registered and many still are preparing themselves soon since the discount early fee ends on May 15. www.solingeuropeans.com
