It`s again time: Roman is writing from far away countries; this time brasilian impressions about the Worlds in Porto Allegre.
The one or the other may remember my impressions about the Worlds in Argentina. Who didn`t like them that time should close this site now…and the others are really welcome.
On 26th of january I left snowy and cold Munich; this time not in short pants as usual (due to the expected warm temperatures), but very serious in long jeans. The change happens in Frankfurt coz it was a lot warmer there…smile…
Sao Paulo greeted me with lots of rain and heat; better than as cold as at home, but not really friendly. After a small trouble shouter (where are our sails?!?!?!...but they showed up in the last moment before the connection flight) I was on the way to Porto Allegre. Both times with TAM, which seems to be a quite good airline.
At the airport an ex-world champion college waited for me: Georg Nehm. All luggage in a small Fiat and then we started a small roundtrip in a rainy morning, 10 o`clock, 30 degrees, nearly no sleep but lots of sweating…
After a while we reached the club; still raining frogs, but first now a small breakfast: club sandwich, fresh orange juice and coffee…black (like my soul), strong (to wake up deads)… and NO caipirinha!!!!
Then a check of the boat where we gonna sleep (will be really warm inside…), shower and prepare, checking WLAN (only a few spots where it works…hard to find) and at once a mail from Matias: big change; I`m now the Liason Officer and have to check somne things including talking to the club…okay okay…
Now I sit in the club, work a bit and wait for Marcos and friends; they promised me a bbq…
The next report will be about the food…mnajmmmmm…mnjammmm…
